Looks like your parking sensors system needs looking at.
Also check your wiring for that camshaft error.
The last error could be MAF related. Might need a clean or check for leaks around it.
Hey,
The new R36 that I have is mostly fine as it stands; however.
I'll go over what I have covered so far.
I was having issues with the DSG being lurchy from a standstill; it'd drive fine and shift fine. However I did some research and did a DSG reset via VCDS to see if it helped and it is a lot better. I am also going to get a DSG service as well within the next week or two.
VCDS is picking up these errors still; Which I need to diagnose and determine so I can get them covered under warranty. Obviously I will make a mechanic aware of it and we can go from there.

This also appeared today for the first time; I do have the GruppeM intake kit on the car as well; Cleared it as above and didn't come back after a 15-20 minute drive so I guess I'll see.Code:000011 - Camshaft Positioner (Bank 1 Exhaust) P000B - 008 - Slow Response - Intermittent

1. Is it possible to get keys done anywhere apart from the dealer? $600 it steeeep.. I found someone on ebay but he requires to de-solder the eeprom chip and dump the contents which is out of my skillset and I'd rather pay the $600 at that point since he's still a bit over $200 for each key.
2. Does anyone have/know where to buy some lug bolts that are tapered and 35mm long? Bob Jane can't seem to find anyone in the country with 20..

I have checked the timing as per blocks 208 and 209 and it's 3 and 4 degrees, so the actual timing is good in terms of the chain.
VCDS reports that the camshaft is sitting at 5.9% load for exhaust while the intake is at 30% (and varying) at idle as well. This is what I am most worried about; But I'm pretty sure that it's the sensor that's reporting this being wrong as everything else seems fine and the symptoms that I have (which are similar to a PCV issue) line up with what minimal info I have found on the web. The other thing that was suggested is that the intake and exhaust sensors are the same so could swap them around if the part number is the same and see if the problem moves.
I do have somewhat of a donor I can borrow/buy parts off cheap off a 3.2L 4Mo Passat, so my train of thought with the cam sensor was to borrow it if the part number lines up and that way I can test it and buy a new one.
I reckon I'll give the MAF a clean first; as I have MAF cleaner here, I just need to find time for it.. Is it hard to do?
The generator error would be either a battery or the actual "generator" aka Alternator related yeah?
It's got the nastiest battery in it; I'm tempted to take the one out of my A4 Quattro and try that if it's a similar spec as it's a decent battery that I replaced around a year ago.

So I'm in a pretty horrible mood right now..
Took the Passat to a mates place to look at a few things and have a chat.
Got there and the damn car wouldn't shift into any gear and I got the flashing gear selector..
Scanned it (and attempted to correct the car yards crappy attempt at the headlight bulb replacement) and found that.
A. The car yard did not actually install the headlight at all, it's just sitting there
B. The transmission gave me this code...
So going to VW in the next day or two to get a quote done and the car yard will be pocketing it or giving me a refund. I am not taking another option at this point.. I've had the car less then two weeks and a major failure like this happens..
Sounds like the mecha unit has had it
Update as of 2/4/19
VW Devonport have diagnosed this as a clutch issue and quoted $2600 parts + labour.
They have also determined that the gearbox has the INCORRECT OIL - it appears to be standard transmission fluid and they have also suggested that the Mecha unit may need to be replaced due to this.. The other worrying thing is that the filter appears to be "almost new" which.. well we know what that suggests.
The oil has been sent off for analysis too, it was also overfilled.
I've been talking about the outcome of this with the car yard that sold me this as it is under their warranty and consumer law.
I think that it's best that I just ask for a refund as per ACL and get rid of this mess, if I do that I'll be posting the VIN here so nobody buys the car.. I most definitely will be getting it put on the back of a truck to get it back so I don't have to deal with the headache of any other issues..
I've definitely learned a lesson and will not be buying another R36 at this point.. I will never be buying a car from a car yard again, nor will i buy one without any service history no matter how cheap it is..
If I keep it, I'll likely have to change the clutches and will be replacing the mecha unit at a minimum and hope that the box is OK.. if the box is toast I'm EOL which is why I'm wanting out.
Damn dude that really sucks. if VW say the car is good other then the GB, is it worth getting the car yard to pay for a replacement box instead of sending the car back?
The motor is fine, VW suggested a timing chain to be done too.. But It's fine I did check that with VCDS and it also sounds normal.
I mean I could keep the car IF they agree to change the fluid, clutches and come to some agreement on the mechatronic or even see if they'll pay for that..
But chances are (and knowing my luck) the box will have issues from the incorrect fluid ruining internal seals/bearings.
I think if I can my best bet is to get a refund and just save my money for something better and spend some money on the B5 A4 Quattro I currently have (and love).
Sometimes it’s best to just get that bad taste out of your mouth.
Sorry to hear how it it turned out for you
