    R36 due for 60k service

    Hi Guys,
My 2009 R36 is due for major 60k service. Local dealer is quoting 1500, Volkspower 1300 and Audvolks not picking up the phone.

How much you guys paid and anyone dealt with volkspower?

    Thanks in advance.

    I use Dean from: https://www.facebook.com/VWMobileServicing

I'd rather support a small local business that the mega-giant multinational company!

Plus, he comes to you, when it suits you and its all done in your driveway, and Dean is a great guy and I would recommend him 100%...

Thanks Timlin but I am in Melbourne. Thanks Mr wolf. Passat R36, not sure what you mean. I bought the car at around 52k and its 2009 model so its about 6 yrs old. I was told that 60k is major service that includes haldex. Am I correct?

My MY10 R36 will be 5 years old in a few months, I heard that the major service needs to be done at 4 years old. I am holding the major service considering mine only done 34,000km so far. But I am not sure if I can hold it till 60,000km for the major service.

Yes 60k includes Haldex oil and DSG as well. Its a major service by any measure.

The service intervals for the R36 are every 15,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first. So *officially*, your R36 should really be having its 90,000km or 6th year service.

Burwin VW advised me that VW have amended the official service schedule so that the Haldex service is done one year earlier than the DSG service - so while the original service schedule required the Haldex and DSG service to be done at the 60,000km service, the Haldex is now done at the 45,000km service, so the bill for the 60,000km service is a bit less outrageous.

MY10-onwards is every 3 years, regardless of distance for the Haldex. Otherwise, its 60,000km.
