    R36 DCC Shockers Replacement

    Hi all,

Can anyone suggest where I can get replacement shocks without crazy mark up and if anyone has any suggestions for friendly VW experts in Melbourne who could install them?

    Thanks

Good luck. I'm not sure for your car but are OEM the only option?

I know for mine that I'm replace them with Bilstein DCC shocks, even they need it, or possibly before.

For the price going for a better unit makes sense, though the OEM ones are pretty good.

Genuinely not sure if OEM are my only option.

Those Bulstein ones seem just as pricey though.

I will check the part numbers tonight; I think there would be an overlap between the B7 and the CC.

I know there are blanking kits, which are just large resistors that mimic the shock so there are no errors, you can then just install coilovers etc; But then you lose the adaptive nature of the system.

Part numbers are shared R36, B7 and CC (3C0 413 031 D). OEM is made by Monroe; their part number looks to be MONROE C2513; interestingly, there is a second part number (3AA 413 031 C). I guess this might be for the Alltrack models my car has the 3C0 on.

    Rears look to be 3C0 513 045 D and 3C0 513 046 D that are MONROE C1517 and C1514R

I based the lookup on the 2009 R36, always check your PR codes before ordering
