I'll be doing an oil change (first time) on the R36 and was having a look at where to safely place my car stands (I have the pin type) so the book shows 4 jacking points, which is fine. Obviously for the front jack points I can't place the stand under those which would be used by the jack to begin with.
Took some pics just then of what I think would be a good solution, but didn't want to be a hero and just do it. You'll see the first pic as a 'before shot' and the second pic is with two plastic covers removed which reveal what I think is the chassis. Question is, has anyone here used this area for stands?
Caveat: When the pics were taken I jacked up from the rear so yes, you'll see the front jacking point there on the right... But that'll be used by the jack to get the front up to a decent workable height.
Thanks guys
