    Hi Guys,
I know not an R36, but my 2.0 FSI Jetta GT, replaced the discs and pads all round with a set from Stoptec in the US (eBay store).

Compared to VW prices with shipping from the US - could almost take the fam on a holiday with what I saved.

Full OE sizes on pads and rotors, no adapters, drilling stuff, just off with the old and on with the new.
    Drilled slotted with ceramic pads.
    No dust.
    Brilliant from cold performance
    No squeal
Supplied pad sensors - plug and play.
and the life is staggering - noting that a Jetta is a lot less in weight than the r36.

Now that I have my R36 in the drive, the brakes from stoptec will be my first mod.

Where can one get the minimum thickness of the rotors before they need to be replaced?
    I have a Passat B7 wagon.

And can we re-use the sensors or do they also have to be ordered with the replacement pads?

If they're genuine or OEM rotors, it'll be stamped in the 'hat' or outer edge.

Sensors will come with the pads if you buy genuine or OEM. You can't buy the sensors seperate, and I don't think the old ones can be re-used. The main thing is you order the right pads for the car.
