    Question for R36 Owners - bumper "wheel cover trim"

    Hello R36 Owners,

    When I was installing R36 bumpers on my car I ordered these trim pieces for the front and rear bumpers is they are called for by VIN in ETKA. However, I have no idea how the rear ones would be installed on the R36 bumper as where I see them attached in pics (on non-R36 Passats) they have nothing to adhere to as it is where the bumper juts out to meet the wheel arch extensions.

    Could anyone confirm if they are or are not installed? And if they are, could someone snap a pic so I can try and figure out out to mount them?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Mate,

    I have never owned an R36, however I have had both a 2012 125TDI Highline and 2013 130TDI Highline (both with Sports Pack).

    So these "Wheel Arch Tread Covers" were installed both front and rear on my cars (these are not included in non-Sports Pack equipped vehicles).

    As you mention, the R36 has "flared" wheel arches "so to speak" and as such, these are not required.
    Well, from all I have seen, never on an R36.

    Just searched on Carsales also, no pictures show these on an R36.

    Here are the part numbers for anyone interested;
    3C8 807 837 B (left rear)
    3C8 807 838 B (right rear)
    3C0 807 823 (left front)
    3C0 807 824 (right front)

    Thank you both so much for your replies! That’s great news - I shall return the parts and stop worrying about how to install them, LOL!

    Cheers!
