They all tend to run a bit rich which causes a fair bit of smoke under load.
I'd be interested to know if there is any discernible difference too - in theory if you could get more flow then at WOT there might be some more available oxygen in the mix, not sure if there would be enough extra to really reduce the amount of smoke?

I think that may be 'normal' - my R36 does that and I've read elsewhere that it's normal behavior...

Just ordered one - will see how it goes. Hopefully I'll notice some sort of improvement.

Picked up my filter from the postbox this morning. The delivery time was astounding! I think the package got up to 88 miles per hour! Can't wait to fit this tonight. Thanks heaps Euro, I'm stoked with your servicePipercross foam air filter R36 R32 AUDI TT

I'll try it out and let you know how it goes.

Initial thoughts are similar to others. Slightly louder note from full throttle and acceleration. Seems to be sharper too, although that could be the risk morning air. I need to give it a boot full tonight to see what the smoke situation is in the lights behind me.

One thing I've already noticed though is the instantaneous fuel consumption display has dropped immediately from 1.3l/h on idle to 1.1l/h since the new filter went in! I used to see it always on 1.3 at the lights with air con on auto etc and now it has dropped. Time will tell when I fill it up soon, I will see if the range and avg consumption figures change, but looking promising already.
