Sounds like the last owner probably screwed you over, if that has been siliconed shut its going to be a PIA job.
Removal of that crap without damaging anything, new seals, clean the drains, lube the sliding mech.

Your electrical issue sounds solved now; I think a body shop might be the next best place to ask, or just try some independent euro shops.

Thank you. I am happy that with my little DIY skills and all your advice got me this far. I am wondering if I should put my hand on to this matter too. Like, finding the rubber seals, lubricating the guides etc.
Oh and on another note, the sunroof curtain fell off. Need advice on that too
