I'd rather not pay too much if I don't have to. So I've been digging around on eBay and found that there's people selling the timing belt kit for much cheaper but I'd like to check that the part numbers I've found correspond to what the engine needs.
Engine is a 125TDI running an engine number of CFG161923... is does this then make it an engine code of "CFGC"?
The part codes I've found are:
Timing Belt: 03L198119F
Water Pump: 038121011C or 03G121011
Can someone tell me if this is accurate or point me somewhere to confirm the accuracy for what items I need to buy?
I ordered a complete timing belt kit for my dad's Golf with waterpump (brand: Gates) from Sparesbox. Comes with 5 year or 100.000km warranty including repairs to damage caused to engine in case of failure in the timeframe. They have them for all VW's
