New steering wheel for b6

I decided to upgrade my old steering wheel to a mk6 r line wheel install went ok other than the buttons do not work anyone know how to get them working? My new second hand module is 3C0953549AJ

I replaced on mine (2009)with 12 button steering wheel from passat 2012. I was told that mk6 not going to work on my passat (white mfd). So i decided to go with normal one
All buttons works without problem...

So you saying they won't work at all? I thought the volume buttons on the left and up and down on the right would work at least ,I am getting a wiring fault on vcds I was thinking I squashed some wires pushing the air bag back in place or a faulty control module?

Sorry for late replay. This job done by guys from vw central. They are veryyy helpful. Instead fidling himself with cables better ask them if they can help you. I beleive airbag not.gonna.work due different connections. Button as well..
That steering wheel was my first choice...after i got comfirmation about compatibily issue i changed it for normal 12 button steering wheel. Regards

Thanks i sent them a email, the air bag plug does fit and no fault codes ,the horn and button lights work they just do not function.

No point keep steering wheel if functionnnot works...i mean, volume up, down, bt, change songs, voice kontrol etc...but.still you can try fix it...maybe vw central can fix, not sure...
My job was done in half hour and everything works. So, good luck
