My 2012 MY2013 118TSI passat wagon with a 7 speed DSG transmission is now throwing a fault on the transmission hydraulic pump. There is also a blinking spanner on top of the gear indicator in the MFD (comes on after driving about 5km).

The DSG seems to function normally, and I've booked in for a service next week. Am wondering if I should be concerned and need to take it in immediately?

I replaced the battery due to a failed cell last week, so am wondering if it could have been related to that. The battery measured 10v and it was hard to start the car.

Also, there was a lot of talk a year or two ago about the warranty for the transmission being extended to 5years / 150k km, but information about this on the VW website seems to have disappeared? Is it still honored?
