Help with Kessy

Hi,

I have purchased used MY11 Pasaat B7 in India.

Having 2 issues.
1. Cannot lock and unlock by door handles.
2. Remote FOB lock and unlock works only when I am very close (literally touching car) to the car.

I have noticed below errors in Address 46: Central Conv

Buy a battery for the remote for starters

You mean to say battery for car or battery for remote fob?

I tried changing remote fob battery but it didn't help..

Get car battery checked and if down change it as well
Its 8 years old so could be stuffed Take it to a dealer and get faults cleared.

Passats tend to throw a lot of faults with flat batteries

Previous owner has installed normal battery instead of AGM battery, could this be the problem?

Fixed kessy issue by interchanging front and rear door handle, now left with only 1 fault code.

Tried cleaning contact of door handle but no luck, I think I will have to replace the handle. (Is there any way to check door handle sensor)

Keyless is working but have few issues.
1. Car can be locked and unlocked only from driver door handle; that to have to hold the key in hand. (is this default behavior?)
2. Keyless boot open is not working. (is this default behavior?)
3. Lock/Unlock from fob button works only when remote is held very close to the car. (Is there any antenna which will increase the distance?)

Fixed Rear left door sensor issue and now able to lock/unlock from all doors.


Few queries still remain

My remote fob was culprit.. got new one and all issues fixed
