Had the engine warning light today...

I'm driving from Mudgee to Blue Mountains today, and the engine warning light comes on. Fearing the worse, I still had 100 km to get to civilisation (or at least Optus phone reception). Fortunately there was no overheating.

I've pulled in to Blackheath mechanics, who scanned the fault. They reset it, and monitored it for a while. Seems to be resolved. They said the fault codes were in the o2 sensor for the fuel mix. May have come from a bad batch of fuel.

Anyone else had a similar problem with an R36?

I have had a o2 sensor fault code come up and I had to change an o2 sensor - it fixed the problem.

Common enough fault. Heater element for O2 sensor (LAMDA probe). Clear the fault and may come back soon or not for a while.
Fix is to replace the applicable 02 sensor as above.
    Shouldn't cause any issues
