Very nice build; I never got why VW used the conventional transmissions on the NA units.
Have you got any other plans for it? Or just time to sit back and enjoy all your hard work.
If ya guys are bored and like lots of B6 content here's the build thread for my North American (I'm Canadian NOT American - for the record) Market 4motion wagon. We never got the R36 or any 4motion VR6 with a DSG in the B6, instead we got the BLV 3.6 with the awful 09M slushbox auto 6 speed trans.
Finally! The fun begins | VW Vortex - Volkswagen Forum
Enjoy!

Are ya ever really "done"? 🤣
I'm waiting on some headlight retrofit stuff to come in. I pulled the original burned out AFS headlights apart and blacked them out, plus new lenses and new Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 projectors. The guts of my headlights looked absolutely nothing like the ones Kamold did for his car. I imagine this is another VW split model year change? I'll post pictures of that process but I will say it's been a TON of work even to this point.
Wrapping the car as well. Ultra-gloss piano black. Waiting for an R-line front valance (we never got those here either) to get here. In the meantime I need to repair my Votex side skirts (another parts car score) first.
Also scored a complete (door cards and all) Dynaudio system from a parts car. Guy had no idea what it was so I got it for super cheap. I think I got it for like 80 bucks 🤣 And it works. Us Canadians never got the Dynaudio package in the B6 Passat but the Yankees did. Lucky for me the American border to Washington State is only 15 minutes away. A guy drove his 2.0T wagon up and the timing belt let go while he was here.
Win for me 👍
Just got the new wiring harness for that yesterday so as soon as my headlights are back together it's "tear the car apart one last time" time.
I've done everything else myself so far so why not just do it all?
I have a set of 18" BBS RS-GT's that I'm sending to California to have modified to 19". After that I think I'm done... unless I can't fight off the urge to supercharge it.
