    Bluetooth Module

Hey guys, i was wondering where i could get a bluetooth module that sits under the drivers seat under the foam part? i just brought my 2012 passat 125 tdi highline and its missing which was disappointing. i was going to drive around to some wreckers and see there first but any advice on how much i should pay for one and if i need to do anything other than just plug it in would be handy. Cheers fellas.

You'll also need the wiring harness and the microphone and it's wiring which is located in the head liner.
You can get them from wreckers but unless you pull the harness out yourself you might end up needed to buy a harness or repair what you get.
You might be better off just buying a new kit there are forum sponsors on here who sell the complete kit with everything you need.
Then you still need to code the car to tell it about the new module which can be done with something like VCDS or OBD11.

Oh sorry i think i should have said that it has the harness and right plug already in the car, so i am assuming that it is already wired up, it just doesn't have that black box part, i just want to know if i buy a second hand one it will work or do i need a particular model of it.

Ok sounds like it has been removed then.
Yes if you buy a second hand one it should just plug in, you may still need to do coding.
You want to look for a 9w7, 9za, 9zz etc premium model (this is the PR code, not the part number). These ones support A2DP (song/artist display) with bluetooth streaming.
    Refer to this table:

Cool thanks for the info, now i just have to do some looking around for someone selling one at a good price. How much should i be looking at paying? also would these forum sponsors sell just the individual module? that table is pretty confusing but i guess im looking at the white display ones with the A2DP support correct?

i have found someone selling a 5K0-035-730 bluetooth module but just wanted sure that this one supports the voice activation button on steering wheel, or would i need a more specific module for that? also i have been reading about text message to speech and wouldnt mind that as well but still a little confused on what im looking at on the table. cheers.

    Hi Hoopzzy,

I can see you have 2 options, one is go on and installing original shipments or install a RCD 330+,
RCD 330 is quite cheap unit and I have 2011/12 Highline fitted with RCD330. (just uses same pin connector)

OPS works, BT is fitted to radio and your steering wheel control works.
    Except
-NO display on MFD screen(radio and Phone list etc..)
    -NO Climotranics information
-you need a work around to integrate factory RVC to head unit with delay timer & video converter etc..

Other than that, I find RCD330 sound much better and high resolution screen compared to original RCD510.

    see below forum,

wow that took me a while to read but i think actually sounds like a good option so thanks!, i have found a rcd330 which i think is right and has android auto which i want seeing as i own a Samsung s7 but if you could look at the link and just double check for me before i go ahead with the purchase that would be great. Also i don't have a reverse camera so not a problem atm but i want to double check that my OPS works with this and all i should have to do is plug and play hopefully. i also read on there that there is an update people are manually installing, should i need to do that with this unit. Thanks for the help!
