    It may perform slightly better
But if you did want to do it you'll need the 3d printed adapters as well as the heater mat.
The only thing I would gain is speed sign recognition which I don't have, in saying that we should know the speed limit anyway. Thanks for answering.

You can enable sign assist and high beam assist with a 3AA camera also:

I just went through the steps with VCDS and found coding not available, all bit 4) has no description just showing ticked/untick boxes, have no idea what they are, no drop down option like shown in the video. How's that possible with factory fitted lane assist?

What's the part number of your camera, and is your vcds version up to date?

Excellent Work Kamold!!!! glad it worked out without any hiccups.

I have factory fitted lane assist on my B7, managed to enable FLA without any issue, except sign assist.

Sign Assist was enabled in fusion mode, but however, showing up error an error- " Sign Assist Error" or similar after few minutes when ignition turned on.

Not sure what causes the error, any suggestions? possibly the black & white cluster display? but I have seen pics of overseas model work with the black & white display.

ps- I don't have an RNS510 also(as I understood, fusion mode just get the image data and convert it to cluster display)

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You will always get that error unless in a country that supports it.
The error is being generated because the map data says you are not in a supported area.

Even without NAV unit?, how does it know the country, if I change it to Europe in instead Rest of the World, would it work?

It need nav for map fusion data.
I don't think it will work without being able to query the map region.

Hi ! I installed the camera in my golf for a long time, I activated the lane assist and the light assist but I can not get the traffic sign assist. when I test the outputs, no trafics signs are displayed on the MFD. I do not understand why. My golf is late 2016.
    Have you any idea ?

    Thank you so much
