    3.6 re-mapping/tuning

    Hi all,

this is my first post so let me know if I'm doing something wrong! I am looking for a little more performance out of my 3.6 VR6 and DSG. I'd like to start with a tune to see what I can get. specifically, I would appreciate if anyone has any recommendations for tuners in Brisbane. I did message Harding Performance to see if I could get a quote for both ECU and TCU tuning, but they said that their software no longer supports VR6 engines. Any advice is appreciated!

from what I've read, tuning doesn't do very much to the VR6 itself, but a TCU re-map is recommended for general increases in drive-ability. the car is also completely stock so I might look into getting an intake and/or an exhaust installed before any tuning gets done. If anyone has any recommendations, especially anything I can get local-ish to Brisbane I would appreciate that too!

    Hi there,

As you’ve already pointed out, there’s not much to be had from a tune. You’d be better off spending your money on a carbon clean as these engines came up pretty well.

Next to that the most effective thing you could do is weight reduction, but that defeats the purpose of the R36.
