Anyone?
Hi guys,
* Edit it's a 2011 Passat.
We bought the car off a private seller, it's a 1.8L turbo which was working fine and a few days later cylinder 2 started misfiring, took it to the mechanic who replaced the spark plugs and all was well again.
A few days after that I get the error cylinder 3 is misfiring, P0303 I think it was. EPC and CEL lights were on. Same as before when we got the error for cylinder 2 P0302. Car's throttle at both times was dead and the car was idling very rough.
It's now been at the mechanic's for a week where they've replaced the wiring (not sure exactly, my dad's managing it) and it stopped for 1 day but got the same error the next day.
Mechanic, and sorry for the lack of detail, will be checking the injectors and the manifold. It may appear the injector is spraying too much petrol. Any way that's the theory, but I thought I'll reach out online to the guru's to see if they know how to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance for reading and your input.
Cheers,

Anyone?
Not sure where you’ve taken it but I’d make sure whoever is working on it knows VWs. Otherwise you could be paying for their diagnosis by replacement ideology.

Perhaps #3 coil pack was dead, but was mistakenly fitted to #2 cylinder?

Seems like it was a coil pack that fixed it (for now, still testing)
Good Luck
