Local stock apart from the dealer would be tricky, you could try HSY or Tooley imports but I would think it would be a long shot.
I actually fixed the flange I had on my BKD engined golf when I had it. There was a slow coolant leak that I tracked to the flange - when I pullet if off I found that the plastic lip on the inside of the flange had cracked/disintegrated in a partcular spot, and it looked like the o-ring had been squashed there during assembly, causing the high local strss and hence degradation.
To fix it I used high strength, high temperature (grey) epoxy (permatex brand I think) - basically built up the area that was bad, added a bit extra as reinforcing, and then sanded down the epoxy repair at the flange sealing face and inside the o-ring groove to make it flush with the original face. It all went back together perfectly with no leaks even after several thousand km. I sold the car though so I cant attest to the very long term fix - But i've used that stuff on other repairs (front of engine block water pipe on a VR5) and its lasted for years.
Good luck!
