Hi, I have just bought a B7 2013 Passat Alltrack 130 TDI. Has anyone done an APR or other upgrade on the 130kw/380nm. Moving from a 150kw/500nm Merc and would like a bit more punch with less lag. TIA.

Hi prrow61,
I recently got my Alltrack 130TDI done by MCTA Mobile Vehicle Chip Tuning
It's only a stage one software upgrade with no mods but it did make a difference. Power comes on a lot earlier and smoother with more torque (about 420NM). More noticeable from low revs. Flat out doesn't feel much faster. Fuel economy is a bit better too once you get over the first couple of weeks when you just want to floor it everywhere. Cost is very good at about $800. They are based in North Qld where I am but I believe they service Australia wide somehow. A friend got his BMW 120D done also and it made a huge difference, but it had less power to start with. Check out their website. The guy that runs it is called Toby and is very knowledgeable with VW's. He also runs the Volks Centre which is a VW service centre so he knows the cars mechanically too.
