    1000 rpm question...

    Hi all

I have 2013 passat wqgon tdi with 52k km. When I started car in the morning RPM stayed at the 1000 level and only settled at 800 when the car is warm.
Unfortunately, if i shutdown car and start again (after 10 min) will be same...even on hot engine.
That is little bit strange behaviour and started today (was very hot today).
Note: this is not dpf regen cos i done it on higway.
Any idea what could be? Do i need worry about it?

its possible that a coolant temperature sensor is playing up/failed.

Have you checked your battery voltage- if it's low the car is put into a fast idle to improve the charge rate
