VW Golf GL 2.0L 1997 for Sale

Hi guys,

've upgraded to a VR6 so the GL is for sale. My family has owned it for about 8 years now and it has never let us down. I really have loved having it as my first car.

Make - Volkswagen
Model - Golf GL 2.0L
Year - 1997
Rego until - April 2016
Location - Kenmore, Brisbane
Price - $1000

Details - Body is straight but paint is a bit faded with rear, passenger side qtr panel peeling clear coat. It needs a bit of work done to get RWC so I will be selling it as is.

This is a list of what my mechanic says needs to be done/investigated:
AC not working
2 new rear tyres
Clutch is worn
Sump Gasket Leaking
Play in both rear wheel bearings
Airbag light is on (requires inspection)
Cooling fan motor belt is cracking
Snib lock on drivers door
Shifter bushes on counter weight are worn
Hood liner sagging
Brake + Clutch pedal cover need to be removed
Chip in windscreen

They quoted me about $2000 for all of this.

Also note that the gearbox is a bit crunchy in lower gears but all gears will engage and work fine. It will come with a few spare external parts and Prorack roof racks.

Photos coming - not current, main thing is that the car now has a front lip.
