For Sale: 2010 Mk6 Golf GTI - candy white, manual, 85,000km, stage 2 tuned

    **Sold pending**

I am looking to possibly move on from my Mk6 GTI - after owning 2x Mk6 Golf's over the past 6 or so years i feel that i have learn't just about everything possible about these cars and want to try something completely different for me.

Overall the car is in extremely good condition for a 7 year old car as i am very fussy - paintwork is basically flawless and very shiny and interior is very clean and tidy. Im an ex car detailer and a bit OCD so the car is always kept clean. No expense has been spared on this vehicle and has been owned by a true car enthusiast. Car is garaged at home and parked undercover at work.

The car has been serviced 2x times per year since i have owned it with only high quality oils and genuine filters. All receipts have been kept, as well as photos and a spreadsheet of service items as proof. Basically all known issues with this engine have been addressed (timing chain tensioner replaced in 2014, rear main seal replaced Jan 2017, PCV valve replaced in 2016, ignition coils replaced in 2015 etc etc).

The car is currently sitting on 86,xxxkm and has 11months rego in NSW.

    $23,490 ono

I've has 5x 4cyl turbo cars over the past 10-12yrs or so. So its time to part way with the GTI and to try a V8 (no Holdens or Fords) which i have wanted for a long time. Im currently looking for this car but haven't settled on a particular one just yet. It needs to be practical so no coupes or anything too special (unfortunately) plus it needs to be somewhat budget friendy as im not made of money. I really would love a C63 AMG but god damn they are still expensive, so it will probably end up being a 2011 onwards Lexus IS-F as these are more budget friendly, better on fuel and about 100 times more reliable than the AMG. So...pending i get this new job at my work which i well and truly deserve, this is most likely what i will be getting myself as a reward. I have driven both the C63 and IS-F previously and really like both - the only downside to the Lexus in my eyes compared to the AMG is the exhaust sound....but a new exhaust on the IS-F solves that problem as they sound amazing once fitted with a free-flowing exhaust.

Funnily enough both my wife and i love the SQ5 and i have been looking at them (2nd hand - cant afford a new one)....but we dont do the right kind of driving for a diesel (short trips around town is 95% of what we do) and it wont quite scratch my itch like a V8 will. So perhaps in a few years when we move my wifes current car on we will look at a nice SQ5 with the supercharged 3.0L V6 petrol which i believe they will be offering soon.
