Mk4 golf rally car

Hi all up for sale is my silver mk4 2000 golf sr 1600 rally car. Specs are as follows.


- 1600cc akl engine, cross flow head, aluminium block, variable intake runners ecu controlled, goes really hard for a 1600.
- 2" straight through exhaust with a single genie stainless turbo muffler and heat wrapped manifold
- relocated pod filter and vent to atmosphere oil catch can
- new engine drive belt
- solid steel shift linkages with steel bushes (no slop and slightly shorter throw)
- removed front sway bar for better traction and turn in, 4 wheel disc brakes
- aircon and heater core delete all fully removed from car
- completely stripped interior with custom dash/ gauge panels and vent block offs. (Houses volt, water temp, tacho and shift light , hazard switch, fuel flap switch, battery isolator switch, horn button, demister switch 12v, windscreen washer switch, interior light switch, spot lights switch)
- relocated battery in box behind passenger seat
- relocated windscreen washer bottle to boot
- fire extinguisher, first aid kit, safety triangles and sos/ok signs
- rear strut bar, front subframe with welded in bars to reduce flex
- Saas seats on standard golf seat frames
- Sparco 4pt 3" harnesses FIA approved with rotary buckle (can add straps to make 5 or 6 point)
- roof air vent, bonnet pins, rear hatch boot latches
- driving lights and led neon interior light
- mudflaps on all 4 wheels and stainless exhaust heat shield on bumper
- has 4 steel wheels with new road tyres and comes with 4 vw alloys ready for rally tyres
- currently NSW registered for another few months


Car has been used recently for club rally sprints, autocross and motorkhanas on gravel but could also be used for hill climbs ect. Has had much success so far with multiple class wins and a best of 3rd outright in a field of 55. Also has been my daily driver and is very reliable and never misses a beat.
Overall the car is very neat, paint work is excellent with only a few marks and runs, stops and corners very well.
Would be great for anyone looking to get into motorsport or put a roll cage in it for prc rallies or even just a tough unique street car.
