Hey guys,
It's time for me to move on and sell my beloved Vento (Veronica). I'd been debating with my resto mate whether we should keep her for another 6 years. He thinks, I should but i just don't have the room and i don't want to pay rent on a space until then to save on vic roads.
I have not driven her in a couple months and she has just been idle. I am currently waiting delivery on a mustang.
She has a few issues, so may as well be upfront about them first.
1. back windows, currently up with wood
2. hoses need a change and probably a service as well
3. respray would be nice, there is some patch fading
4. drivers door, doesn't need to be replaced but the lock will probably need replacing. Currently can't enter drivers side.Inside panel needs new clips.
5. front window is cracked. I'm not up to date with what passes at vic roads but had a similar crack pass in a hyundai. For your safety, I would recommend replacing it though.
After 20 years, she still goes really hard. I am not kidding. She drives extremely well and can take off on most standard modern cars. She is purple in colour. I had a rear tyres replaced not long ago. Anything else that could go wrong, has probably already happened and has been fixed. I could have bought several cars over, over the years however for the past 2 years she has been in pretty fine shape.
Taking offers, feel free to message me
thanks
steve

cheap, make an offer
Fly down (or take the train if you've got the time) and drive it back.
If it's unregistered put a temp permit on it. NSW Rego will let you drive it if you tell them it's roadworthy.

VicRoads offer an Unregistered Vehicle Permit which you can apply and pay for online to cover your trip back home (including interstate destinations). Actually much better than NSW RTA or ACT RTA who require you to front up at a motor registry in person to apply for the equivalent UVP.
I bought my 96 Vento via graysonline, picked it up from Melbourne and drove it back to Canberra without plates. I thought it was going to be a long trip being pulled over by every police man on the highway wanting to know why my car had no registration plates. Special thanks to the three blokes in the Mercedes SUV also without rego plates that had been pulled over by the NSW Highway Patrol as I drove past the ambush site.

The car is currently registered however was not planning on renewing it. It would definitely need hose change over before driving it interstate or more than 30km. This would take about 15 mins or less to do. I am just not spending a cent on her now as the new car is on its way. I've got about a month to get rid of her, this is the only place i have advertised as would prefer she goes to someone who will lover her
Still looking for some interest. $500 cash to whomever wants it. Has to go
