I am moving to Melbourne at the end of the month and it's not going to be practical to move 3 cars down there. With only 2 drivers in the household.
The executive decision has been taken to re-home the S3.
Bought from an enthusiast in NSW about 8 years ago. It's been a faithful servant and has required little maintenance outside normal servicing.
Belt was done in 2012, so a year or two before being due again. Lots of oil changes but with 320000 km up I stopped recording those. They usually get done annually rather than on km.
The mileage seems epic but there was a full engine rebuild carried at Audi by the PO, including a rebore and new pistons. I totaled it up to $10k which also included a turbo. I have the history somewhere.
I replaced the clutch last year, with a solid FW set up that is probably a little lighter than std. While the clutch was being done I replaced the coilpack wiring and fitted pushdown coilpacks. I think I fitted a later cam cover without the bolt holes.
A full set of brakes were fitted about 2 years ago, I think they were DBA discs and Remsa pads.
KW V1s fitted end of 2011. New rear LCA bushes about the same time.
I fitted a 42DD downpipe with cat and there's a custom-Code Phase 1 tune loaded. There's a front mount intercooler (deleted the fogs), a Green Cotton CAI, Forge DV, silicon Forge turbo outlet pipe, Forge silencer delete charge pipe. Uprated dog bone.
About 2 years back I had the headliner done but I broke the plastic handle on the sunroof blind I haven't been able to get a replacement.
New windscreen middle of last year.
Obviously, its picked up some marks over the years. A dent in the front of the bonnet, one on the right wing behind the wheel. The front end is chipped in accordance with the mileage.
There's a bit of rust on the roof on the passenger side. Audi had some dramas with the zinc process and lots of as A3 and S3s of the early 2000s had warranty paint work done. This happened after that ran out.
it's an honest car and with a check of the oil level and tyre pressures, I'd jump in and drive to Melbourne without hesitation. I'd take a couple of coilpacks and a MAF in the glove box but only because I have them in the shed.
