    1974 VW Passat LS

    Sold
    I a selling my Passat as I broke my leg back in November and need an Auto, as well as trips to Dubbo to see my ill father, so I will be looking at a Commodore.
    As you will see I have upgraded a lot of things.
    1974 VW Passat LS
    Wanniassa ACT
    1.8 litre SEAT engine.
    32/36 down draft Weber carburettor.
    Golf GTI Headers.
    2 1/4 inch exhaust system.
    Audi 5 speed gearbox
    Heavy duty springs and shocks all around.
    New rear brakes and Master Cylinder.
    New Ignition switch
    Electric fuel pump
    K&N Filter
    Spare Timing belt and Fan belt
    A replaced Carburettor as a spare to rebuild
    Engine Immobiliser
    14" rims
    185/ 60 14 Bridgestone Potenza tyres, just about down to wear line. Got 50 000 plus ks out of tyres.
    Original rims and VW centres.
    TS Recaro seats and old seats if wanted.
    Intermittent wipers.
    New Windscreen.
    Serviced every 5000ks
    Rego ACT for 3 months
    Condition fair. Paint work Ok except boot is crazed. Interior is just in a fair condition carpet on drivers side is worn where
    my foot rests on it. Front seats are worn in particular drivers seat, both have been patched up. Back seat in good condition.

    Drove past that car everyday standing in the complex. Heard it drive around as well and she sounds awesome. Hope you find a good home for it.

    Looks like the Passat that Neal Trama built in the late eighties..?? he was the builder of Neal Bates`s rally engines!!??
    Was Hella fast around Fairburn Park Hillclimb & beat lots of xu1`s etc.... including my mk1
    Love mk1 passats...

    Only when his wife was driving it.

    She was 2 seconds faster than my MK1 and a second faster than Neal at Fairburn. When I spoke to her she said she could go faster but didn't want to upset her husband. That was nearly 30 years ago and I met them again a couple of years ago. Neal said she recently broke the class record at a Mitsubishi Dealer open day at Wakefield driving one of the demo cars.

    If this is Neal's old car it's something pretty special.

    I have done what you see and hear by myself. I am the third owner and the first owner really babyd it.

    If I had the money I would snatch it up. But I just recently got a 2door Mk1 Golf shell which will turn into a great car.
