Had a piece of cake for breakfast this morning.
Turned down x-pack offer from dealer today. Going to go with Opti-coat after much deliberation and stress deciding what to do.

Any protection is good protection.
X Pack is not as bad as everyone claims to be. The claimers with little or no knowledge OF the product itself or many other products.
Opti-Coat is a Polymer Sealant. X-Pack also a Polymer Sealant. It comes down to the deal you crack with your dealer on the costing to if the product/protection is worthwhile to you.
Vs NO protection, Xpack then would be worth it.
You have a variety of options, Nanolex offer also 2+ years if applied by a professional which is $400 for forum members (which includes full decontamination of paint unlike other brands that do not include this). Opti-Coat offers similar pricing, GTechniq, Quartz etc.
What is better? Much of a muchness for most. But for the real enthusiast there is a little. Say Nanolex is true 100% german nanotechnology proven worldwide and still going stronger than most others on the market.
For anyone who is considering Paint Protection of some sort we would recommend to put something on your car regardless if you chose not to get the dealers "paint protection pack". We offer many sealants, waxes and so do many other shops that you can purchase and apply yourself. Don't leave your paint unprotected especially with the crazy conditions we are having of late nationwide.
