Hang on, before you go blaming the product, have you given it enough "oxygen, UV light and water" to work properly as a "permanent oxidising generator?
    Why a Golf R?
For the days when you just can't be bothered getting the Veyron out of the garage.

Seriously I tried this one with my new R and I have already gone through 2 bottles of bug and tar remover because the **** that is supplied would have difficulty dissolving dust let alone tar.
    Your a funny man AngryMan,

+1 here as well, I use Autoglym on Tiguan, and for money you spend on it, it is hard to beat.

Can you explain to us then how it works, and how it is better than a wax for the paint and scotch guard for the interior for example.
Also if you can tell us your background so we can get an idea of your experience with all these products.
eg Are you a car dealer, ming mole, disgruntled car buyer who got sucked in by the ming mole or are you someone who has been detailing/painting cars your whole life? Just be good to know what your background is so we can evaluate your opinion for ourselves.

    Agreed.

    Wash weekly
    Wax quarterly
    Clean/Clay/Polish/Wax yearly

Do all those with the right products using the right technique and the paint will look like new for decades.

After seeing this thread and speaking to my bro (RX-8 nut) I decided not to bother with paint protection. I invest in good car polish...

I run another similar enthusiasts based forum and I can tell you that when someone comes on preaching about something that everyone else tends have an another opinion about, its 100% of the time someone from that company or someone selling the product.

Something my dad always said "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't", I think there is a certain amount of hype in the Xpack literature.

I've seen a few nanolexed cars recently and they look good for a long while, thats the path I am taking.

Scotchguard...hmmm, there is better, but bang for buck I suppose it does the job.
