    Also, not sure if all MkVI's have the radio antenna integrated into the rear window like the GTI, but bear in mind that a metallic film on the rear window will interfere with radio reception. There are films on the market that are non-metallic to allow better RF performance, but it usually comes with a (near negligible) drop in heat and UV reflection performance. Solartint sell a non-metal film called Charcool vs their metallic Onyx film. There's also ceramic based tint films also about, but they're harder to find and pricier.     Out of interest my S15 200sx had the antenna integrated into the rear window. I had Tint-a-Car Formula One tint added right after I bought the car and the radio worked fine.
