I think there may be redundancies at MING :-P

My friend had MING paint protection on her Honda, 1 (one) bird dropping left on for a week ate into the clearcoat. :-S

There sales pich used to also tell you it adds value to you car when it's time to sell!! Anyone been told you your car is more saleable with it? Ming Moles are tele marketers in your face. It is nice though if they are pleasant to look at, I would let them finish their spiel then say no. Otherwise it's a very quick no.

Yep, stick with the proved products and if you don't need it, don't buy it!

They even start on you at pre sale these days.
Friend was recently purchasing a new car from another manufacturer, and they were trying to plant the seed asking if the trade had MMP (ming mole products) applied.
Of course they don't care/don't know, all they were doing was planting that seed in your mind that MMP help at trade time so they could flog it on this purchase.

I am curious if you "actually" know what the product is. And luckily i do know what it is, and clearly you are in sales and have been to m1's training for this alreayd. Should i go into more detail about the training and product, or would you like to be clear on what exactly it is as i am very aware what the product is and longevity/durability of the product.

1 Application will not last a life time. Min 1 year, 18-24 months max if you really want to get in depth. Do you know what microns are? Nano, Polymer, Silica?
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

What I know there is no product on the market that can withstand a bird poo attack for a week. I would not blame the paint protection but the owner’s lack of maintenance. With the paint protection you will get an extra time to remove the poo from your car without any damage to the paint. Some damage to the paint protection may be visible but you can repair this easy.

Yeah, but I reckon the 3M film Corey mentioned would stand a chance against bird poo

Yes, PPF's will stop the bird poo from affecting the paint for quite some time... HOWEVER!!!! PPF's will stain much quicker than clear coat will etch from the bird poo. The good thing is though that the damage is on a removable piece of "contact" rather than a body panel. I keep a MF towel and some "quick detailer" in the car, and just wipe off bird poop that I see on the film. You don't have to be too worried about scratching the paint whilst you're doing this, cause you're only wiping it off the PPF

The X-pack total protection for your car is a great idea! now its not there to stop stone chips or scratches (nothing will do that) but it does stop fadding or oxidisation!(red cars fade the fastest because they cant be colourfast) also the fabric protction stops bacteria and stains for all you clumbsy bastards out there!

So next time you jump to conclusions about something you should do some propper research befor relying on ill informed and quick to judge people!
