Where to buy cleaning products in Perth

    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where one could purchase all the nice cleaning products mentioned in Perth?

Or is online the only, best way to go?

i'm going to take a look at Repco in a bit, but i was just wondering if one had to go a a special cleaning products store? (is there such a place?)

stuff like the waffle weave cloth, microfibre mitts, duragloss, dodo juice shampoo.

    thanks

Online is easy at www.carcareproducts.com.au good quality stuff too, and pretty quick shipping. They have everything u'll need including the waffle weave cloths. They do a discount for forum members too, enter "VWWaterC" (I think) in the coupon field.

    ok. thanks.
    i'll have a look there.
i was hoping to run out and grab some cloths and microfibre mitts just to give the car a quick washdown (rain and HAIL!!! from the week) but get the products a little later.

if i come across any of the microfibre stuff that is sold in repco (i think i saw some there but not sure of the brand of whatever), is that the real deal?

i'll probably grab the waxes and shampoos online if the price is right.

I've been told the stuff u get in Repco etc isn't as good a quality as the products on carcareproducts.com. But i've never really compared the 2 so hard to say.

    Thanks ope126.

By the way, I think this is the list of products I'm going to order. Can you guys take a look and let me know if I'm missing anything, or if you've any feedback. (gathered this from reading the forums taking into account value for $)

    From carcareproducts.com.au
Duragloss car wash concentrate 901 ($14.95)
    Zaino Z2 ($41.95)
    ZFX flash curing additive ($59.95)
    Autoglym custom wheel cleaner ($19.95)
    Autoglym alloy wheel seal ($22.95)
    Autoglym leather cream ($23.95)
    Mint microfibre wash mitt ($16.95)
Mint microfibre waffle weave towel XL ($32.95)
Mint microfibre economy cloth 5-pack (19.95) - for buffing, wheel seal application, leather cream application, cleaning interior
    Total: $253.55

Is this overkill? Does the Z2 come with an applicator? Do I need anything extra for plastic parts and seals or will annual detail suffice? Should I use Zanio Z6 or Z8 after using the Z2?

I'm not after showroom for my daily ride, but I do want it to look good. I tend to wash my car around once per fortnight and get rid of birds**t and other gunk asap.

Does anyone know what's the discount from carcareproducts?

If you are going to layer your sealant, I believe it is beneficial to use either Z6/Z8 between layers. Personally I would go with the Z6 between layers as it is less than half the price of Z8. And the Z2 does not come with an applicator, just use a microfiber applicator. A tip I was given was before your first application of Z2, spritz your applicator with some Z6/Z8 as it will make spreading the sealant a bit easier and provide a more even first layer. Hope this helps.

I can confirm the Duragloss is good and gentle on the wax when used in the right dilution ratio. I think you might want two waffle weave drying towels, I find I use both every time. As for the other stuff, it's not the same brand as I use but it is quality name brand stuff, so tell us what its like when you get it!
