I was told for life - the life of the car, not my life - against yellowing, bubbling etc.
The pretty cover the entire car if you've got the $$ to spend.
Otherwise, the cheapest is the basic templates since there's no stuffing around.
Anything apart from that requires hand cutting and that'll cost more and there's a slight risk they could cut too deep (cos the material is tough and does require pressure to be cut) and accidentally cut your paintwork.

They don't cut the material on the car. They use tracing paper to trace out the shape of the panel, after which they scan the trace into the computer. The film is then cut using a plotter/cutter on a vacuum table to the correct shape. At no point should they be cutting the film on the panel. I'd avoid an installer that cuts the film on the panel.

Hi guys, I got my TSI about 2 weeks ago and I've made my booking to have the Ventureshield installed. I was just curious, should I wash/wax/polish the car before I take it to the installers ? So what should I do, post installation ? Being a newbie, I'm not all too familiar with all the different car care products available in the market. Which ones are the best and most reasonable to use ? Are these products easy to use ? Any advice would be sincerely appreciated ! Thanks in advance !

The installer should do that for you prior to installation. If he is not going to do that, then I would not get it done by him. If you are unsure, I'd give him a call to ask.

    Who have you booked with?
