Yep, as a professional detailer at Audi Centre Perth, the Swissall stuff is the brand for virtually every car cleaning situation. There's also chemical wholesalers like acs-rotec who make some good everyday products. Their 'Body-Solv' is awesome for getting off the melted wax that seeps outta the mk2 panels! Any degreaser will do tho. Body solv will also get rid of sticky glue, chewing gum, tar, oil or grease.
Also, if your paintwork os getting a bit rough to the touch, before you cut and polish, try using a 'clay block' or 'clay bar'. Its like a modelling clay kinda similar to blue-tac and you clean your car well, leave it wet (or even spray a bit of windex) and rub it firmly with the block. it will pick up and remove any industrial fallout, salty deposits, some scuffs, bore water stains, and even light surface rust!
Dont rub too hard though or you will dull the finish or even cause scratching.
If you drop it on the ground, chuck it away as the grit it picks up will gouge some nice scratches too!
Always follow up with a polish and then a good wax so you dont leave the paint exposed to decay from the elements.
And Interior Plus is also a great upholstery cleaner too. It'll get almost anything out of your carpets, off the plastics, and can be handy for removing baked on dead bugs. I clean my shoes wiv it too!!
