    A Supernatural 7 hours...

So, decided to give my car the full exterior treatment today...

    • Rinse
    • Wash
    • Rinse
    • Clay bar (whole car)
    • Pre-wax clean (Lime Prime)
    • 3 coats of Dodo Supernatural

Clay easily took the longest... but was a bit shocked when it was 7hrs by the time I was done.

This is the result (best ones I could find to demonstrate the finish with my crappy camera skills):

My fave (looks like x-ray with the plumbing ) :

Supernatural finger mitt things, basically little foam mitts you can fit 2 or 3 fingers into. Seriously, they save you a ton of time, I was able to get around the car in about 15-20 mins for a single application with them.

Yep... woke up this morning, my arms & legs are stiff and sore, my knees killing me from kneeling on the ground, fingers making it painful to type... but it'll be worth it when I go down and jump in the car to drive to work!

You may find after its been in the sun that it will go smeary. You have put on too much wax in to short a time frame. Carnauba wax needs time to cure and gas out the oils. The minimum recommended time between applications is 24hrs although you can get away with 12 hours if you park it in the sun for most of it.

Otherwise top effort!! Car looks great, well done.

Nice work Pepe, excellent looking vehicle. Seven hours of effort is well worth it.

BensenBurna - check out the following on clay bars used for cleaning your paintwork. The name is deceiving if you are thinking of the red coloured stuff in the ground.

As you're in Sydney, I highly recommend going along to the carcareproducts course running this Sat. It's fairly cheap (although you'll end up needing to buy a bunch of very expensive products afterwards) but will show you everything you ever wanted to know about cleaning your car.

Also, of course, it's bloody raining in Sydney today... so my car is now filthy again, damnit. (forecast on the weekend said a week of nice weather, damn you BOM!)
