    Suede seats in Octavia RS

I like the look of the seats in RS but what do you use for maintaining/cleaning them?

Vacuum, that's it. The alcantera was designed to be cleaned by brushing/vacuuming and is by nature stain resistant. The other stuff is good at stopping slipping but is starting to entrap fluff two years on. I would have preferred alcantera in place of it.

    Cool

Same here, i just vacuum , never had any staining , the mesh inserts have not collected any fluff , might have something to do with clothes worn .

They are certainly a comfortable seat on long trips and stay cool , my liberty leather seats looked good but allowed to much slip and slid and were not as comfy .

Have to admit the superb V6 leather jobs were a very comfortable and held you in well and truly during a recent test drive .

I just purchased a whole lot of car care gear for my RS and even though the seats are to be natural stain resistant, I am going to putting a coating of 303 Fabric Guard (Alot of detailers rave on about the 303 Aerospace Protectant and Fabric Guard). Only a light coat, just enough to help protect them that little bit extra.

Was it done before and are there any downsides to it? I will have a look into 303 Aerospace Protectant and Fabric Guard.

The car in new so nothing has been used on it before. Detailers that I see talking about it have been using it on lambos, porsche, bmws and etc so it must be a quality product! From what i read, you just have to make sure you be careful and not spray too much as it can stiff the fabric - i'll read through the instructions thoroughly before using it either way. Should be getting the stuff this week in the mail and I'll post up how it goes!
