You can get glass polish which can help - Auto Glym from any auto parts outlet.
Other than that I don't think it is coming out. It could be etched?
Hi. I've got a 98 golf cabrio and the windows are stained. It's as though there are water marks from water off the top.
Is there an easy way to remove the stains or do I find a pro? I've tried scrubbing with windex type stuff to no avail. The side and windscreen are affected.

Thanks, I'll have a look.
You can see it at certain angles and the sunlight makes it look worse.

Autoglym Car Polish is fairly good but one that has more bite and defintely removes water marks, bore water stains etc is Duragloss Nu glass - awesome stuff!

AG Car Glass Polish is what they would have meant.
I use the Duragloss Nu-Glass polish personally. I find it does a better job than the autoglym version. I use it on a RO with a cutting pad.
These are NOT my pics but pics none the less of a guy that used Duragloss Nu-Glass by hand
Tried Auto Glym. Polished the marks up nicely. Didn't remove 'em but. You can see them and feel them. They look like vertical flames, like the stick on rice stuff, just not as bright. Only one side window affected but the windscreen is a bit different. The windscreen in some light looks like bands of blotchyness vertically.
Maybe I didn't rub hard or long enough. The rest of the window looks good. i'll try and get some pics to show what I mean.
Neil.

I'd definitely suggest a machine dude. They help heaps, especially if they are good machines with consistent power. I had stained glass and decided one afternoon to go to town on every window and I applied sealant to them all and they still bead water better than my paint ever has.

Is it true/correct it's even easier to burn the glass than it is to burn paint, when using an RO/buffer? ie: use plenty of water, right?
