Hi all
I have started getting my car ready for sale.
There are some marks which are proving to be a bit more stubborn than expected.
My original plans
- Wash as per normal, 3 bucket process
- Pre wax clean, on by hand off with RO polisher
- Clay bar to remove small marks
- Sealer & Glaze help from RO polisher
- Carnauba Wax by hand 2 coats
After washing and using Mothers Pre Wax Clean, I have some marks which I thought were water deposits.
I have now also done a vinegar & demineralised water wash, then clay bar. I still have some marks.
My question
Do I need to do adjust my plan now to fix these, or will they come out in my next step of polish ?
Would a scratch remover be advisable, or should I only try this is if the planned polish step does not remove them ?
Now for the pics
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
Top 2 pics looks like the gloss coat has been completely removed and i dont think any amount of correction will fix this other than to recoat the gloss layer.
If the gloss is still intact then polishing should get these out. Or at least minimise them
