Thumbs down Some bas*ard keyed my R.

Visited my sister for her birthday this afternoon and came outside to find some little f*ckwit has keyed the rear quarter panel of my R. I am always very cautious as to where i park my car, i even moved it from around the corner so it was at the end of my sisters driveway so it, i thought, would be safer..

The scratch is quite deep in some areas so it's not going to buff all out.

Anyone have any advice as to which product is best to use to try and get some of it out.

I am so mad, i felt physically sick when i first saw it..

****in pricks! Sorry to hear that man. Take some solace in that they didn't run the key down the whole side of the car. Hope you sort it out on the cheap

    That sucks

A professional detailer may be able to get it out by wet sanding the area, not a process for the uninitiated. Really depends how deep the scratch is.

You could try Wax Em Detailing or Detailers Obsession.

Hope all goes well getting it fixed.

man that sucks! as stated it depends how deep it is, a good buff with a good polish may do the trick! something like dodo juice lime prime which has abrasives in ( i think) could do it!

I felt sick as soon as I read that. I park my car miles away from everyone else yet there's always some turd out there that wants to park next to me!

Lime Prime won't help... it's for removing very light swirls. It's not going to help with scratches...

Lime Prime will only remove light swirls, won't have enough bite to get deeper scratches out.

EDIT: Damn you Corey, you beat me to it.

You need something with some grunt by the sounds, the Dodo won't have enough abrasive power I'm afraid. Start with Meguiars Ultimate compound, do it by hand and take your time, check how it's looking regularly, when it looks like the gouge is gone (if it hasn't gone deeper than coloured paint) then finish it off with some Meguiars swirlx. If it can be done this will get you there.

Before getting it repainted, perhaps take it to a detailer to see if they can work their magic on it. This would be cheaper and preferable to respraying but you may have no choice.

If I ever caught some low life doing that to my car, I'd key them!
