Have spent a lot of time recently reading and watching detailing posts / videos and have changed my ways.
I do, however, have a confession to make. For years I have sworn by the Meguiers products and have A LOT of their product sittting in my garage (some of it unopened). After spending time here I have realised I need to step up and in the last couple of months spent way too much on the CCP website and ending up with millions of microfibre towels, an Autobrite snow foam lance (with magifoam), two industrial buckets (for the now manditory two bucket method), Dodo Juice Sour Power, clay bar, lube and more towels.
I clay barred the car for the first time on the weekend and the results were amazing (and very therapeutic). but then the bump happened, the only polish I had was Meg's deep crystal so on it went.
Don't get me wrong the results is beutiful and the shine (and reflection) are great but I have now read it's for a dark coloured car and I have a brillient silver car. So have I gimped my hard work by using the wrong polish and how do I rectifiy the problem.
btw I was planning on buying some Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite and Diamond White to finish the whole proccess off but am wondering if I need to correct the polish first?
Sorry about the long winded rant but I'm really enjoying the detailing thing and just want to get it right.
polish for darker colours can be used on light colours...they say darker colours on polish cause its abit thickern to hide all the scratches that stand out like dogs balls on darker colours! your ocd is in check lol
