    Shaving the VW Badge

    whats the best way to get it done??

    it has a small indent when u remove the badge at the back.

    prolly get some sheet metal welded in, then smoothed, bogged, painted.

    Steve had his done the same way I believe. Best way as well.

    Yep thats the best way, cut back the paint, then cut a piece of sheet metal and tack weld it first so that you know if you have it right or not, then fill in the rest. Sand the welds down and then bog, sand primer and paint.

    Best thing to do would be your whole panel best outcome and result of the paint won't be blochy.

    or just the section between the lights, and up to the corner in the boot. because this section is surrounded by the lights( ie on either side) you wont be able to tell that section has been repainted, if you get what i mean?

    But if he is doing the boot then that sweeps up and around to the window you would be able to tell best to do the whole thing!
