Seat Swap ? Polo 9N3 Mk7 to Golf Mk5 or later model Polo/Golf seats to Mk5 Golf.

Hi. I have searched the forums to learn if this model's Polo GTi seats will fit this model Golf? At best I found it's possible, but info is sketchy at best and unreliable. Thank you for the advice.

Additionally, does anyone know if any later model Polo/Golf etc seats fit a Mk5 Golf? I've never found the uprights (the backs) of the comfortline/sportline front seats a comfortable/acceptable fit. By comparison it appears the GTi seats fit me wonderfully better.

    Thanks in advance

Polo seats are different to Golf.
From memory the MK5 Golf seat rails are spaced a little wider. Might be some way of adapting them but not a direct fit.

Thanks Jimmy and Tim for some feedback.
Polo 6R - if they fit, that's GREAT
VW vehicle could be anything so long as they have the GTi/GTd/R etc type seats (which I know fit me) but also the Mk5 golf. Of course, airbags ( see post 2 ) must still work.

edit: I did find THIS in relation to OP wanting Golf mk6 seats into their Polo 6R

very much appreciated. Keen to learn more. Thanks

Any Golf seats should fit - front and back (provided they are from a 5 door) and if from a MkV should go in no probs with the airbags. Unsure on MkVI so can't say for certain.
If you are considering leather, be mindful that to get the heating to work you will need to upgrade the climate unit, the seat heater controls and the wiring - not an easy gig.
The 9N7 Polo GTI cloth seats are a little bit tighter than the Golf GTI ones, and I also consider the bolsters on the leather seats a little less supportive than the cloth, but that might just be because the leather doesn't have the same grab as the cloth.

99_FGT: Thanks. Leather seats are good as less dusty, but cloth seats are preferred - less hot & cheaper. I admit I like tartan.
Regarding climate control; I don't have dual zone, so perhaps the heated seat option (great for winter) is not possible with my a/c unit?
