Scratches in metallic paint - polish or paint touch up?

    Hi,

I have a reasonably deep (not a gouge) in my brand new gold (I didn't do it!) and before I go messing around with it I just wanted to know if anyone had an opinion on the best way to handle one in metallic paint. Should I just get a generic black (its black paint) polish or get a special paint mixed?

    Thanks!

Mate, get it mixed properly through colour matching. You got an expensive ride so at least try and match it, and keep it for heaven forbid any more touch ups you may need to do.

On another note, I just acc dropped a 20c coin on the back rear bar and made a tiny mark, and I'm still gutted!

Let me know where you are and I might be able to recommend a Detailer you can take it to, so that they can at least let you know if it is polishable or you need to add paint...
