Scratches - Metallic Paint

I've got a metallic black Polo and when I washed it today I noticed that some douche (probably an idiot from my workplace... this is the second time it's happened) has hit the rear right of my car.

Here's some pictures:




What's the best way to remove these?

If they're not too deep you might get away with a really aggressive cut and polish by the looks of it. Otherwise if it's too deep, it'll need to be cut back and resprayed. As it's metallic paint that normally means the whole panel.
I've got the lovely mystery scratch on the front passenger corner on my bumper which needs to be resprayed.
As the bottom at the front is scratched to the sh*thouse from the previous owner not taking car exiting steep driveways as well as numerous stone chips getting the whole bumper resprayed is not as much of an irritation to me (it's still a pain in the ass though).
It's just a matter of finding the time to do it as well as someone who can do a good job for the right price.

They could be wetsanded and then polished. If your in QLD (like ur plate seems to say) call Jaybe at Dulvari Prestige or Chris at Driven By shine. They will fix it

run your fingernail over it, if it gets stuck your out of luck.

If it doesnt go down to your local auto store and buy a tube of meguiars Scratch-X.

Dont use a cut and polish, it will cloud your clearcoat.

from what i can see, its through the paint so it will have to be sprayed

ive got a few of these sort of things and found that the appearence of the could be reduced with a bit of a polish

haven ever used one, but have also heard that those colour sticks on that t-cut colourfast polish works as a tempoary coverup measure, worth a try anyway...

The flash picked them up fairly well. You can't see them much at all if it's not in direct light. Would that change the situation?

Just FYI here are some befor and afters. In both instances the marks were westanded with 3000 grit wet/dry and then the area polished with abrasive compound. It was then waxed. No fillers were used these are the final results. It can be done
