    Rollcage in a 4dr MK1?

What do you guys think about a rollcage in a 4 door mk1 Golf?
Back seat removed, would it fit nicely? look ok considering its a 4 door?

Obviously it would be for looks but it would also be functional.
One that can bolt together. so if i decide to put the back seat back in I can simply take the rollcage out. And also keep the for a future 2 door project.

Or would I look like a Toss Pot

just an idea I have been thinking about.

If its just for looks, you could make it out of PVC pipe. Lighter too

I think he got the response he deserved. Who would put in a cage for looks only? It's like you're losing usefulness (no back seats), gaining weight, and nothing else.

To each their own though... i like the loon's idea.

I think that if you were in any sort of prang, no matter how minor the police and assesors would take a very dim view of a false rollbar.
That is only my thoughts, you decide.....

Dont they take a pretty dim view of a genuine rollcage in a road car anyway?
