Which retail cleaning products should i use

As the title says which out of the retail shop available cleaning ranges would perfomr the best on a new car? By retail ranges i mean

• Meguiars
• Mothers
• Autoglym

Not interested in the cheaper lower end ranges.

I would like to keep it in good clean condition although not obsessive and cannot bring myself to spend hundreds of dollars on waxes etc. Unless anyone can convince me otherwise.

I don't want to try and steer you away from the Brands mentioned above (although Autoglym is still good) but here's my advice on brands for general cleaning:

-Mint wash mitts and cloths
-Duragloss/Dodo Juice wash soap
-Autoglym wheel cleaner
-Vikan Wheel brushes
-Any old buckets will do, as long as there's two of them!
-and then of course something quick and simple like Duragloss Aquawax or Nanolex Paint Sealant.

Provided you begin with all of that, it shouldn't break your budget and they will last a long time as they are all good quality brands. I'd suggest washing your car once every week or two, making sure to use the two bucket method of washing (instructions available in one of the sticky threads in this forum section) and doing your wheels first because as a detailer I find it easier that way!
