Reseal vapour barrier - what glue do you use

I'm repairing door card for my wife car, after I removed all door cards, I found the vapour barrier comes loose as well due to hot australia climate, so I have to fix it as well.

What kind of glue do you use if you have do similar repair, we know you can not use permanent silicone seal in case you need to remove the vapour barrier again.

Windscreen sealant is what I have used in the past as it never sets.

Have removed the plastic liner over a year later and it was no problem
