    Recommended Products

Hey guys I thought it would be a great idea to start a list of products we use and recommend for various parts of the car and/or colours.

E.G I have a shadow blue polo GTI
Recommend for swirl marks. Auto Glym Paint renovator and Ultra deep shine.
I have never seen my car look better.

Might even see if admin would make this sticky as give everyone a good idea what is out there.

    Mk3 textured bumpers:

    KIWI SHOE POLISH

Works fantastic, it's like paint in a bottle with an applicator pad Lasts for bout 5-6 weeks for me without fade, and I wash weekly

    Oh, and for windows:

    VINEGAR

Wipe it on with newspaper then rub it around the window and firmly wipe clean. Streakless, flawless

Goof Off! from Bunnings for getting rid of stubborn adhesive marks/dirt/grime/bugs. Used on paintwork, glass and wheels on my car and also getting rid of the marks left when I debadged stuck-on badges. Does the job wonderfully.

Autoglym Aqua-Dry - Autoglym's synthetic leather chamois. Found it very easy to use and wipes off water cleanly.

Edit: Haha Mickey's 100% spot on for his methods - seen it done and was amazed!

Rakija that is too awful to drink works wonders as well! Meguires next generation liquid wax is in my books... Epic stuff...

Oh and I second the use of newspapers for cleaning, but you know what works better and is cleaner? The white or yellow pages, I used it to clean the grease and muck off my rims before I painted them. 8 months on and no flaking shows how well they worked!
