Recommendaton required - detailer/ paint restoration specialist - Brisbane

    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a detailer/ paint restoration specialist in Brisbane?

Paint is factory, but has lots of swirl marks over the whole car. (came this way from the dealer when it was brand new, pointed it out to them and they said it was normal!!!)

(Power tools in the hands of an untrained/ or I don't give a ___ person is a dangerous thing I believe.)

Who is 'Kim' that I've seen mentioned in other posts?

I'm a bit apprehensive to be honest. My family had my other car detailed as a surprise,.. they just put wax over all the imperfections, snapped my UHF ariel off the bullbar and put some duct tape around it and hoped we didn't notice. Quite amusing now that I look back,..
Why did they think it would go unnoticed!!??

I would try contacting Ben J as our local forum member who dabbles in detailing.
I don't know if he is formally qualified but from what i have seen he does some good work and it's always good to help out a forum member when you can.

    Just an option.

    Kim is the proprietor of

    Mobile Auto Detailing

He opti-coated my Golf about a year ago and the finish is still brilliant. I was very happy with what he achieved with my car, one panel had severe swirls.

Thanks for the recommendation Clay, don't know how I didn't see this until now.

But yeah, if you're still looking for someone I'd be happy to do it. As said, I'm not formally qualified (I don't know if formal detailing qualifications even exist) but have a good 30 or so car's under the belt now. Have some new detailing toys on the way now including a new polisher more capable of tackling deep defects, and a paint thickness gauge, to make sure only the minimum amount of paint is being taken off.

Please note guys, my own car is not a good representation of my abilities, I haven't had the time yet to give it the serious detail that it desperately needs!

Anyway if interested just send me a pm and I'll work out a decent price for what you are after!

    Hi Ben,

    Sorry for the late reply.
    Have since sold the car.

Will keep you in mind for the future though.
