Recommendations for a paintshop in adelaide

Hi All ,

My 2013 Tiguan needs some paintwork, the roof and bonnet has to be resprayed to fix the paint cracks. Do you have any recommendations for good paint shop in Adelaide ?

This thread probably needs to be moved; but depending on where you are located Peter @ St Mary's Collision Centre is reliable and have seen a bit of his work. I know he is overloaded at the moment though so unsure how quickly he could turn around your car.

Not good to hear your 13 Tig has cracks.

Take it to Specific Prestige on Richmond Rd, Keswick. They specialise in late model VW, Audi and Jag, etc plus do a lot of work for Solitaire.

Tiguan's and all VWs in fact have a 10 year paint warranty these days. If your paint is still the factory paint, make it VW's problem.

If it had been repaired previously (accident/hail/etc damage) then you're on your own

@Sharkie I didn't know this. Will check out this option.. Car had paint protection applied, so I was thinking to claim their warranty.

@ tigger73 . I have approached specific prestige, the guy refused to quote as they were not interested in warranty claim and sort of things.

I agree if the paint is original you have the paint warranty. So, I'd be going to Solitaire with it.

Oh btw, 10 years is a corrosion perforation. I'm not sure if they'd repair the paint cracks after 9years.

Drop in to see Stewart (the proprietor) at Clarke Body Repairs at Somerton Park (corner of Brighton and Oaklands Roads at the traffic lights)

They do plenty of late model Vw, audi's etc - can personally vouch that their work and facilities are nothing short of A1.
